Islamabad: The Immigration Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency has demanded the federal government to provide funds and adequate manpower for developing and making Kartarpur Corridor operational, according to a new source.

In this regard, the Ministry of Interior has a sent a summary to the Prime Minister Imran Khan. Reportedly, a copy of this summary has also been sent to Mistry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Establishment Division.

The Interior Ministry has requested the prime minister to approve funds worth PKR 240.82 million while the amount FIA has demanded stands at PKR 280.5 million. The news source also mentioned that the ministry has requested the government to approve as many as 217 new appointments in FIA Immigration Wing.
