Project Construction Update
Official sources at Zameen Developments have revealed that the raft foundation works have been completed at the project site of Mall 35. They added that 60% of the basement-2 slab (16 feet and 9 inches below ground) and 50% of the basement-1 slab (5 feet and 9 inches below ground) have been completed. Construction of the vertical members (columns and retaining walls) is currently underway at basement-2 and above basement-1 slabs.
Raft foundation provides structural stability by distributing the building’s weight over a large area. This prevents the overloading of the underlying soil to avoid differential settlement. Meanwhile, the vertical structural members support the slab and transfer the load to the foundations below.
