Shahbaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab, has ordered Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) to beautify the land freed from land grabbers or “gabza groups” in Punjab. Chief Minister showed willingness to do so all across Punjab with an intention to offer a healthy and serene environment for the people living nearby. He visited a site near Kalma Chowk that received a makeover by the gardeners of PHA and appreciated their hard work in making the land attractive and refreshing to look at.
On the orders of Chief Minister of Punjab, the concerned authorities have organized a program to utilize the land freed from land grabbers for benefiting public. The provincial government is already working on constructing parks, sports grounds, and recreational areas of the retrieved land in different cities of Punjab. Many of these parks and sports grounds are now open for the public. The staff of PHA is responsible for the maintenance of public parks. Shahbaz Sharif is monitoring the PHA’s work and making sure the people get conducive environment for a healthy and active lifestyle.
