The motorists would be able to use the M-4 from Pindi-Bhattian to Multan, which is a 286-kilometre-long route. They will then move to the Multan-Sukkur Motorway (M-5), which means they would not be required to leave the motorway at any point during the entire commute.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Communication & Portal Services Murad Saeed has announced that M-5 will be inaugurated this month. For this purpose, the authorities concerned are finalising arrangements for a tentative inauguration date of August 14.
The opening of the Abdul Hakeem-Khanewal section would also assist those traveling from Lahore to Sukkur. These motorists would be able to use either Lahore to Abdul Hakeem (M-3) or M-4 in order to reach M-5.
