Lahore: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has introduced an android application, named ‘Clean Lahore’, in a bid to improve waste management in the city, a news source reported.

Citizens will be able to register their waste management complaints online through this system. Reportedly, they will also be able to upload pictures and provide information on the site locations that need to be cleaned and maintained.
LWMC has developed this platform in collaboration with the Punjab IT Board. Each complaint will be assigned to a team of dedicated LWMC staff – and processed further by a redressal mechanism and an assignment matrix.

Punjab Minister for Law and Local Government Raja Basharat said that the Clean Lahore application was an innovative step towards addressing the public’s complaints.
