Lahore: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has announced a cash package worth PKR 50 million as a gesture of appreciation for the workers still engaged in cleaning the city and maintaining its sanitation system amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to news sources.

Additionally, the company has also announced a helpline number (1139), where citizens can call with their complaints against the sanitation situation in the city. The company administration has expressed hope that the country will beat the coronavirus infection threat, and encouraged people to remain positive and hopeful.

The LWMC has highlighted that its field workers are making laudable efforts to upkeep sanitation and cleanliness in the city. The firm appealed to the LWMC workers to join the cause of hygiene and cleanliness by properly disposing waste materials.
