Lahore: The Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) has filed a complaint with the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) regarding negligence in the upkeep of green patches on its Northern Loop, according to a news source published on August 1.

As per the details, the LRRA forwarded a letter of complaint about the negligence observed in maintenance of the green areas at various point on the Lahore Ring Road Northern Loop. The letter stated that watering motors for plants on the Airport Road, Nawaz Sharif Interchange, Abdullah Gul Interchange and Ghazi Interchange were found to be out of order. Moreover, the letter highlighted various other spots showing signs of the same neglect.

The LRRA officials requested the authorities concerned to ensure regular watering of plants along the route and contribute more efforts to enhance its beauty. The letter admitted that they are behind on their maintenance and stated that the government has curtailed the maintenance grant of the LRRA owing to the coronavirus pandemic. The letter assured the PHA that the payment of the fourth quarter of the (Fiscal Year) FY2019-2020 will be paid as soon as the government releases the said budget.
