Lahore: The Government of Punjab (GOP) has approved a land swap deal with the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore for construction of the Lahore Ring Road (LRR)’s Southern Loop II (SL-II), reports a news source. The provincial government will give an alternate 824 kanals of land to the DHA, and save PKR 1.53 billion in terms of project costs.
According to details, the land swap deal between DHA and the GOP was under consideration for a long time. The matter was presented before the Cabinet Committee after the approval of the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The land required for completing LRR’s SL-II lies in Mouza Dullu, Mouza Khurd Kalan, Mouza Dullu Khurd Attari, and Mouza Attari Saroba.
The provincial government will offer DHA alternate land from the Central Government’s own land that lies near the said mouzas.
