Multan: The Municipal Corporation Multan (MCM) is facing a shortfall due to low recovery, a news source reported. The shortfall is because of low recovery from building plans and shop recovery fees.
The Punjab Government has taken notice of the matter and Local Government and Community Development Punjab has directed the MCM Chief Officer (CO) to improve the recovery.
According to the details, during the fiscal year 2017-18, the target for Building Plan Fees was PKR 30 million, while the recovery for July-March was PKR 16.4 million, which shows a shortfall of PKR 6 million. The target shop recovery fee was PKR 10 million, but in this time period, only PKR 7.5 million have been recovered, which is a shortfall of PKR 1.1 million.
