Karachi: Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab on Wednesday (February 9) announced the establishment of a low-cost housing scheme in Orangi Town, according to news reports.

As per the details, the administrator has ordered the Organi Town project director to survey a piece of land for the housing scheme. He went on to say that the said housing scheme was introduced under the vision of the government to provide affordable housing facilities to all.
Moreover, the administrator Wahab informed that keeping in view the inflation, the low-cost housing project will be implemented under the public-private partnership. He further added that the other places in the city will also be surveyed for identification of suitable places for establishing similar housing projects.

Reportedly, the government is taking every possible step to ensure low-income groups will have a place to call home and improve their quality of life.
