Peshawar: Nanjong Sanjian Construction Company Limited, a Chinese firm, offers to introduce a low-cost, energy efficient housing scheme in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a news report. In this regard, a representative delegation presented the proposal to Special Assistance to Chief Minister Dr. Amjad Ali and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Authority Director General Saifur Rehman Usmani on Thursday.
Ali and Usmani also briefed the delegation about investment opportunities in the province, the requirement for housing units and the current environment for making such investment. The members shared details on the company’s capabilities and excellence in technology for setting up energy efficient housing societies.
The meeting concluded that the Chinese company will construct a few such houses near the motorways, and then negotiate an agreement to decide if it will be a joint venture or a project managed independently by the firm.
