Islamabad: President Arif Alvi has said that local MNAs and MPAs will be included in the committee constituted to devise Gwadar’s master plan – a news source reported.
He expressed these views during a meeting with MNA Aslam Bhootani. He also gave assurances to address peoples’ reservations regarding Gwadar. On his part, Bhootani apprised the president about the city’s situation.

Alvi directed the ministers concerned to take local lawmakers into confidence regarding developments in Gwadar. He also asked them to seek suggestions from local representatives.
Meanwhile, the authorities concerned have prepared two drafts of the master plan. These will be tabled before the steering committee, headed by Planning Minister Khusro Bakhtiyar.

At present, the government has banned new real estate projects in the city. The ban will be lifted within two months of the master plan’s approval. The government wants to ensure that any new development aligns with the master plan.
