In another development, the Punjab Planning and Development Board (P&D) has decided to build a road out of recycled plastic in Lahore. The board has directed LDA to develop a feasibility report for the project, which will be presented at the forthcoming Provincial Working Development Party (PWDP) meeting. According to LDA Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain, if the project is practical and cost-effective, it would be executed in Lahore. In this context, LDA has been urged to consult with CDA about their expertise with waste plastic road construction projects, as a similar project is presently underway in Islamabad.
