Lahore: The Lahore Metropolitan Corporation (LMC) has announced its decision to conduct a new survey of illegal constructions in the city ahead of another grand operation planned against said structures, a news source reported on December 6.

According to the details revealed, after Lahore Commissioner took notice of the matter, Chief Corporation Officer Shaukat Ali instructed relevant officials to submit reports on illegal constructions established at union council levels.
To facilitate this measure, the Deputy Metropolitan Officers Regulation and Assistant Metropolitan Officers Planning from all nine zones of the city will submit a report within three days.

Ali also instructed the relevant teams to submit all the details about the illegal constructions including whether the owners of these buildings had submitted building plans for approval or not. Any official who does not submit the full report on time will have to face administrative action.
