Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue has prepared a list of 300 people who hide their assets within or outside Pakistani or pay taxes less than their actual income requires, a news source reported. In the initial phase, assets of people who pay hundreds of thousands in withholding taxes and who pay taxes as non-filers will be investigated.
FBR has sent the list of more than 300 people to large tax units and regional tax offices. 80 people in the list belong to Rawalpindi/Islamabad. Investigations will be conducted against people who pay more than a million in withholding taxes on sale/purchase of household and business goods.
