Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) chairman has announced the civic agency’s decision to transform the Liaquat Bagh Chowk into a signal-free corridor, a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Muhammad bin Ashraf and Municipal Corporation Chief Officer Khwaja Imran. The meeting was held to discuss ways to improve the flow of traffic in the city.

The RDA chairman issued directives to make the Liaquat Bagh Chowk a signal-free corridor. He also said that steps should be taken to improve the flow of traffic in Saidpur Road. Further, he stated that a coordinated operation should be taken land encroachments in the city. He added that a traffic awareness program should be conducted in schools and colleges.
