Lahore: The Walled City of Lahore Authority, in collaboration with the Punjab government, is all set to host the vibrant Mela Baharan festival this weekend. The event, a celebration of spring and Lahori culture, will take place on the historic Royal Trail from Friday, March 28, to Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 6 PM to 11 PM.
This free, family-friendly festival will transform the Royal Trail, starting at Delhi Gate and culminating at Masjid Wazir Khan Chowk, into a lively showcase of local culture, traditions, and the beauty of spring. A key highlight of the festival will be the Shahi Guzargah Mausam-e-Bahar Parade, which will take place at 6 PM on both Friday and Saturday.

Attendees can look forward to a diverse array of attractions throughout the weekend. The beautifully restored Kucha Hussain Shah will offer a glimpse into Lahore’s rich history, while the blooming Gali Surjan Singh will feature folk music performances that capture the spirit of the city. In Sabeel Wali Gali, visitors can explore local crafts and enjoy traditional performances, and the Wazir Khan Square will be buzzing with activity, including a lively Meena Bazaar.
The festival will also feature various performances and workshops, including Punjabi Boliyan, Putli Tamasha, live music, and Dastangoi storytelling, highlighting the diverse cultural expressions of Lahore.
