Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday has sought explanation from Lahore Development Authority (LDA) regarding the delay in regularization of a private housing scheme ‘Ferozepur City Housing Scheme’, according to news sources.

Reportedly, LHC Chief Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan asked for the explanation while presiding over a hearing of the petition filed against non-regularisation the Ferozepur City Housing Scheme by the LDA. The hearing was attended by LDA Director General Ahmad Aziz Tarar – along with other officials. The counsel for LDA informed the court that a technical committee has been formed for the regularization and its meeting is scheduled to be held on May 5.

Moreover, the counsel stated that a survey has been completed and the matter is being sent to relevant authorities. Subsequently, the LHC adjourned further hearing till May 6, and directed DG LDA to attend the hearing and detail the work done by the technical committee.
