Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought a report on the details of the working relationship between the Naya Pakistan Housing & Development Authority (NAPHDA) and the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), a news source reported on February 24.

Justice Shahid Karim issued the directives while presiding over a case pertaining to the underground water tables and environmental pollution.
He stated that the court wanted to know if the NAPHDA and LDA were working as collaborators or in individual capacity and asked the law officer to submit a response tomorrow. He also directed the environmental commission to review the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) project.

Moreover, it was highlighted that as many as 81.41% of brick kilns had been converted to operate under the environment-friendly zigzag technology in Punjab while 37 kilns were sealed for using the old technology.
