Karachi: Sindh Local Government and HTP Secretary Roshan Ali Shaikh has taken notice of the illegal construction of the fourth floor upon 120 sq yd plot ‘221/7.R’ in Sharifabad, according to news sources. To this effect, he has directed the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) to conduct an investigation and submit the report to the secretary’s office on an immediate basis.

He has also stated that any public official involved in illegal constructions will face departmental inquiry. Secretary Roshan said that the department has already suspended 27 corrupt officials and is extending the Supreme Court’s directives against illegal developments and encroachments to the entire province.

He added that the provincial government is focused on enforcing these directives. The secretary urged the citizens to identify any such illegally developed structures and contact local government’s helpline ‘1093’ to lodge complaints.
