Lahore: The Federal Government has shared its plan with Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) to make the city free from load-shedding, reported a news source. Under this plan, seven grid stations will be set up in various parts of the city.
In this regard, LESCO Chief Mujahid Pervaiz Chatha and Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) also held an important meeting. A formal letter regarding the purchase of 200 kanals of land for setting up the grid stations has also been sent by LESCO development chief engineer to Lahore DC. Reportedly, the payment for land acquired for the grid stations will be made by LESCO.
LESCO will start the work to set up new grid stations as soon as the required land is purchased. With these grid stations becoming functional, citizen of Lahore will not face issues such as electricity tripping and overloads on the existing power supply.
