Lahore: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) on Tuesday issued orders to disconnect the users who are using multiple power connections in violation of the regulations, according to a news published on December 14.

As per the details shared, the LESCO officials have been ordered to cut off additional meters installed in houses in violation of the laws. It is reported that hundreds of thousands of power users in the city are using more than one connection at home in a bid to reduce their electricity bills. The consumers have opted for extra connections to reduce unit usage owing to the rising power charges.

Moreover, the department will also be launching action against the officers who approved these connections in violation of the rules and regulations.
Previously, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chaudhry Muhammad Amin announced that installation of the net metering connections will be initiated in January.
