Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Commissioner Muhammad Mehmood recently directed the authorities concerned to complete drafting the financial model to be followed for the execution of the Leh Expressway project by next week, a news source reported. As per the publication, an additional detailed report on the status of land acquisition for the said project will also be prepared during the same time.

Presiding over a meeting to review the progress on the on-going developments in the city, the commissioner ordered the officials concerned to resume work on the construction of a parking plaza, and the related work required for setting up the Safe City Rawalpindi project.

The commissioner further gave specific instructions regarding the details he required regarding the status of land acquired for the construction of the Leh Expressway. These details included information on how much of the acquired land belonged to the state or was owned by private owners, and how much of this land would fall in the project’s right of way.
