Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has prepared a new law to legalise commercial activities in University Town, according to a news source. Under the new rules, educational institutes, offices of private and public organisations, embassies, guesthouses, clinics, and financial institutes can set up their addresses in the society by paying commercial fees.
According to the new rules, a commercial fee has to be paid within five years of approval of the Local Government Amendment Act 2018 by the provincial assembly. The businesses already engaged in commercial activities without formal approval are also required to get approval from the provincial assembly. For those looking to commercialise the residential unit for running business activity can do so by paying the set commercial fees.
