Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Aamna Imran Khan has directed that all records of LDA’s property litigation are to be digitised, a news source reported. She also ordered the development of software to link the Law Directorate with other directorates and wings of the authority.
According to LDA Additional Director General (Headquarters) Abdul Shakoor Rana, the new software will provide up to date status of the cases being heard by the courts. He ordered that a full-time director be posted to revamp the records.
Rana instructed all directors to prepare lists of residential and commercial plots in their own schemes and specify whether they are vacant or encroached within a week. A comprehensive policy will be formulated for the usage of these properties after the lists are prepared.
He said that a review meeting will be held each week and directed the respective directors to supervise the tasks assigned to the staff and subordinate officials. The meeting was attended by the directors of estate management, land development, town planning, commercialisation, and recovery directorates.
