The prestige of being a leader is followed by many responsibilities and pressure to get things done and to get them done correctly. Perhaps the most difficult part is constructing your persona and attitude to be both influential and empathetic, in order to be able to fully coordinate with your team. This is where the aspect of emotional intelligence comes in and while many leaders in organisations all over the world lack it, the leaders of Team Zameen do not!
Zameen.com CEO Zeeshan Ali Khan, Co-CEO Imran Ali Khan and notable leaders from the portal’s various departments attended a rigorous training session with British trainer Andy Smith regarding the importance of emotional intelligence and how to implement it in their leadership styles. The event took place on December 13th at the Park Lane Hotel.
The session began with a briefing regarding the importance of emotional intelligence and how to develop self-awareness regarding your own behaviour as a leader and continued to cover the important aspects of recognizing problematic behaviour patterns. Individual and combined activities were then completed in the realms of decision making, recognizing and managing default behaviour, and other similar aspects.
Amidst enthusiastic discussion, the interactive session also covered relationship management, development of the sense of empathy, and coaching for emotional intelligence, while interesting areas such as reflective listening and resilience were catered to in various exercises.
The expert trainer, Mr Smith, then continued to discuss the importance of effective feedback and trained leaders on how to optimise their feedback and how to recognise barriers and hindrances to providing effective advice. The training concluded with a discussion on leadership styles and the difference between resonant and dissonant leadership while also briefing the attendees on how to maintain a favourable emotional climate in the organisation.
While that was definitely a load full of highly useful information, the leaders of Team Zameen were eager to learn more and were full of questions for the expert trainer. Amidst all of this talk, there was definitely room for some fun as the attendees were escorted to morning tea, lunch, evening tea, and other refreshments where they chirpily engaged in an effective exchange of ideas.
The event was highly beneficial and the leaders of Team Zameen were grateful for the opportunity. Mr Smith also expressed pleasure in meeting people from Team Zameen and wished the portal the best of luck for its future endeavours.
All participants were then given a certificate of participation for their attendance in the session and you can see many here smiling for the camera as they collect their certificate from Mr Smith!
We hope that the leaders of Team Zameen take their teams and Zameen.com to undefined heights.
