Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Aamir Ahmad Khan on Thursday (August 11) directed the concerned authorities to automate the application process at the One-window Cell, according to news reports. He directed that all facilities should be provided at the cell to make the complaint resolution process more efficient and convenient.

It was resolved during a meeting convened by the newly appointed DG that the heads of each department would personally listen to citizens’ concerns once a week. Other directives were also given to reduce the time required to process the applications.
The DG also asked all revenue and sub-registrar offices to develop a strategy for responding to court-related cases, including submitting replies to higher courts by the directors of each department. Furthermore, he directed that collaboration across multiple departments should be enhanced to reduce the time required to respond to a complaint. During the meeting, it was also resolved that the department would take all necessary actions to protect the interests of the LDA.

It is worth noting that the LDA has set up a one-Window cell at its headquarters to expedite the processing of complaints and land-related issues. Through its online system, the one-window cell would also address issues for Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs).
