Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced that its ‘Walk & Shop Arena’ – which is located near Mian Plaza, on Main Boulevard of Johar Town – is scheduled to open its gates next month, according to news published on March 27.

The Walk & Shop Arena in Lahore is opening next month after a two-year delay and will become a major shopping and dining facility for the citizens. The government has instructed the LDA to auction shops, malls, restaurants, and other facilities in the project. It is expected that the arena will become a significant source of income for the government and businesses.
The Walk & Shop Arena in Johar Town spans an area of 130 kanals and incorporates architectural themes from the Spanish, Italian, Chinese, American and Mughal design principles. Moreover, an amusement park covering 15 kanals is also part of the arena. Other parts of the arena include; an amphitheatre, pergolas, water channels, a music kiosk, food kiosks, a flower fair, a kids’ playground, mini golf, a haunted house, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, joy rides, and rock-climbing activities.

Additionally, there will be a mega shopping mall, shops, restaurants, courtyards, sitting areas, and a parking facility (with a capacity of 500 vehicles, and 500 motorcycles) as part of the project. The authority will float the project for auction next month and investors are invited to yield benefit of this opportunity.
