Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently notified its decision to make its Urban Development Wing operational again — according to a news source. This move comes in light of the authority’s previous decision to close all offices and departments in late March to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Reportedly, the LDA has been partially opening its offices over the past few days — with the authority’s Urban Development Wing one of its departments that has been opened recently after being closed for over 43 days.
Other development authorities are also set to become functional as well. Along with the Urban Development Wing, the Traffic Engineering & Planning Agency (TEPA) is also expected to become operational once again.

Property registrations have also been recently opened around the province to facilitate the registration of property transfers — with the initiative aimed at providing a boost to the country’s construction and real estate sectors.
