According to the details, this project, which aims to modernise the area, is expected to be completed in six months once initiated. Key features of the plan include improved pedestrian facilities, underground electrification, and enhanced parking spaces.
These upgrades will make the road more accessible and convenient for shoppers and tourists, addressing challenges like limited parking and pedestrian congestion. The project will be financed entirely by the LDA, without any financial aid from the Punjab government.
The development is expected to boost economic activity, benefiting both local businesses and the authority. Local stakeholders, including traders and residents, have been consulted, and their input was incorporated into the plan.
Once completed, the road will be converted into a one-way street, with redesigned pedestrian areas and new parking solutions. Additionally, property owners who have not yet commercialised their spaces will be offered special incentives to comply with the new setback requirements.
