The LDA had announced on Sunday that it intends to complete the excavation work on the Gulab Devi’s underpass’s barrel. The contractor has been instructed to completely open the barrel on November 01 (today), so it may be used for road carpeting and wall finishing. As per the details shared, the authority intends to finish the construction of the Gulab Devi underpass two months ahead of schedule and open it to traffic on November 30. On the other hand, the overall cost of the Sheranwala flyover has been raised by PKR 23.4 million.

The revised cost of the project will be used for the carpeting of roads and transfer of services. To this effect, separate bids were published rather than including it in the project’s Project Concept-1 (PC-1). So far, in addition to the PC-1, the LDA has issued tenders worth PKR 180 million on different allied services for the Sheranwala flyover project.
