Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is set to launch the first education city and health city in Lahore, as reported on July 19.

According to the details, LDA Director General Tahir Farooq discussed the upcoming development projects in detail. The meeting featured a comprehensive briefing on the proposed education city, which will cover an area of 350 kanals, and the health city, spanning 200 kanals.
LDA City Project Director Usman Nazar and LDA City Director Hafeezullah also updated the attendees on the progress of the LDA City housing scheme. Director General Tahir Farooq directed officials to expedite the handover of three more blocks in LDA City.
He emphasised that over 1,000 plots in the B, D, and E blocks of Jinnah Sector should be handed over to their owners within the next two weeks. He also highlighted the importance of providing all necessary facilities for home construction in blocks where possession has already been granted. Additionally, he stressed the need to ensure the recovery of development charges from allottees who have yet to pay.

The meeting also reviewed ongoing development work on structural plan roads and the Iqbal Sector, focusing on further enhancing infrastructure and living standards in Lahore.
