Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently decided to offer additional facilities at its one-window cell compound — including plot transfers, completion certificates, and no-objection certificates provision services, a news source reported. This initiative forms part of the second phase of the authority’s decision to reopen its one-window cell under its newly formulated anti-COVID standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The Director One-Window Cell had submitted the proposal for these changes to the Additional Director General (ADG) Housing. The ADG Housing’s initial approval of the proposal was followed by a final approval provided by the Director General LDA. As per the information available, the services are expected to be provided subject to compliance with government-issued SOPs.

Under the one-window facility, the zonal officer will have to approve the building plan for a 5-marla building within 5 days. For buildings ranging between 10 marlas and 2 kanals, the approval will have to be given within 10 days, while the approval for a building between 1 kanal and 6 kanals in size will be given within 15 days. Larger building plans will be subject to approval by the Approval Committee’s recommendations.
