Lahore: In order to promote related developments in the country’s construction sector and to benefit from the recently announced relief package, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has stated that it will invite tenders for the expansion of Chenab Road in LDA City and several other projects in May, a news source reported. The total worth of projects for which the development authority has finalised the tenders amount to over PKR 1 billion.

The LDA is keen on increasing work pace at its on-going development projects as this will help promote related activities in the constructions sector. These projects will be completed under funds allocated in fiscal year 2019-2020.

The projects for which the LDA has finalised tenders include:
- Construction of overhead bridge on Khaira Distributary Road
- Construction of Samsani Road in Johar Town
- Construction of LDA City entrance gate
- Expansion of LDA City’s Chenab Road
- Construction of a pedestrian bridge opposite University of Engineering and Technology
- Rehabilitation of PIA Planetarium
- Construction of Imam Hussain turn in Gulberg III
- Development work at Barki Road
- Construction of streets in Sabzazar Block D
- Construction of Lal Pull Crossing on Canal Road
Further, the process to issue tenders for the said projects will be invited between May 5 and May 12.
