Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday announced its decision to make improvements to its one-window facility in an effort to facilitate the issuance of construction permits to builders and developers, a news source reported. The LDA management took this decision during a meeting presided by Punjab Chief Secretary Major (retired) Azam Suleman Khan.

As instructed by Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar, the primary aim of this initiative is to improve the provincial government’s ease-of-doing business programme.
The meeting, held at the Civil Secretariat, decided to take measures to improve LDA’s one window operation with a view to facilitate investors and companies working in the construction sector and directives were issued to the LDA director general in this regard.

The chief secretary said that all basic utilities, including electricity, gas and water connections, should be made available under a single roof at the one window operation by the LDA. There was a need to continue work with the same pace to improve this ranking in year 2020, he added.
