The LDA has set aside PKR 90.69 million for the said three forests, which will encompass more than 150,000 plants. All urban forests will be planted in LDA-owned and controlled housing societies, including LDA Avenue-1 K and D Blocks, Jubilee Town C-Block, and Mohlanwal Scheme C-Block. The planning process will begin on November 21, and the campaign will last one month. According to reports, the LDA has planned a total of 27 Miyawaki forests over three projects, with the plantation of the remainder set to begin next spring.

It is worth noting that LDA has already planted a number of Miyawaki forests in the city to improve the city’s atmosphere. However, citing a lack of funds, the LDA paused the process and has recently relaunched the campaign after a 1.5-year hiatus.
