Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has extended the tender opening of the Babu Sabu Interchange project, according to news published on January 24.

As per the details, the former Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi laid the foundation stone for the Babu Sabu Interchange project. A spokesperson of LDA Engineering Wing (whose name was not disclosed) mentioned that the tender opening date for the said project was January 13, which was later extended to January 20. Now, the authority has once again extended the opening date to January 30.
Moreover, the authority issued letters of invitation to many construction companies for the Babu Sabu Interchange project. The news source reported that the construction work will start on Band Road from Babu Sabu Interchange to Ring Road. It was shared that an underpass will be built at Gulshan-e-Ravi T Junction on Band Road. Apart from Band Road rehabilitation, bus tops will also be constructed.

The estimated cost of the project is PKR 4 billion while the rehabilitation cost of Band Road will cost over PKR 3 billion. The completion time of the project is 10 months. According to details, 10 kanal and 5 marla land will be acquired for the project.
