Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has recently conducted a significant operation on Friday, demolishing or sealing numerous buildings found to violate bylaws, as reported in a news article on couple of weeks back.

According to the details, several buildings, including service stations, workshops, and shops, were demolished by LDA teams during the operation in various areas such as Johar Town, Nasheman-e-Iqbal, Ferozepur Road, and Pine Avenue. Additionally, 25 shops along Ferozepur Road and Katcha Jail Road were sealed due to illegal commercial usage. LDA officials stated that prior notices had been issued to the owners of these buildings before the demolition and sealing actions.

The operation was led by Chief Town Planner-II Athar Ali, who coordinated efforts with enforcement teams, the police, and heavy machinery to ensure its execution.
