Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority Director General (LDA-DG) Tahir Farooq has announced the development of a stringent monitoring system to prevent illegal constructions in Lahore, according to a news source on June 20.

During the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, LDA teams, under his direction, conducted flag marches and inspected construction sites across the city. Key areas monitored included Jubilee Town, Defence Road, Main Boulevard Gulberg, and several other prominent locations. Directors Kaleem Yusuf and Sidra Tabassam led these efforts. On the third day of Eid, the enforcement squad focused on Main Boulevard Gulberg and Jail Road, with further inspections on Ferozepur Road and Kacha Jail Road.

Field monitoring also covered Madar-e-Millat Road, Faisal Town, Johar Town, Multan Road, and Ravi Main Boulevard. Supervised by Chief Town Planner One Asad Zaman, the Town Planning Wing ensured adherence to SOPs during their inspections.
