Lahore: The provincial government has instructed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to formulate and launch an online system through its one-window cell to offer several services to public with improved efficiency and transparency in a manner that save their time and effort, according to news published on March 27.

It was also announced that the one-window cell will operate in the following hours during the holy month of Ramzan:
Monday to Thursday – 10:30 AM to 2 PM
Fridays – 9 AM to 12 PM
At a meeting, Lahore Commissioner and LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa stressed the need for LDA to develop a mobile application, which will facilitate citizens by enabling them to submit applications online.

The meeting was briefed that a significant number of people visit the LDA’s one-window cell each day to submit applications for obtaining completion certificates, building plans, no-objection certificates and eliminating encroachments. It was agreed that a comprehensive mechanism to streamline these processes be formed.
During the meeting, the commissioner also instructed officials to appoint a permanent focal person to address issues pertaining to the Housing Directorate at one-window cell. Randhawa urged the officials to utilize E-Khidmat App and other information technology services to make the identification process simpler.
