Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar on Tuesday (October 5) said that the authority will establish an ‘Overseas Pakistani Desk’ as part of its One window Cell to facilitate expatriates, news sources reported.

DG LDA Tarar revealed this development in his meeting with Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (POPC) Vice Chairman Syed Tariq Mehmood-ul-Hassan. He stated that quick settlement of overseas Pakistanis’ concerns is a top priority and that all methods and resources would be employed to eliminate their issues. Furthermore, he instructed the authorities to settle the issues of the overseas Pakistanis as soon as possible. The vice chairman of POPC said that he will visit the LDA office on Friday (October 8) to inaugurate the Overseas Pakistani Desk.

After this new development, overseas Pakistanis will be able to file complaints with the desk, and special LDA teams will be assigned the duty of resolving the complaint within a certain time and retrieving lands from illegal occupation.
