Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has shortlisted three firms to develop the city’s master plan, according to a news report published on October 27. The information was shared by LDA Vice Chairman (VC) S M Imran during a meeting with a delegation of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD).
The meeting was attended by notable LDA officials while the ABAD delegation comprised of ABAD North Region Chairman Sheraz Munnoo. Speaking to the delegation, the LDA vice chairman said that land development authorities of other cities were adopting the building bylaws and regulations finalised by the LDA to simplify the construction procedures.
He further revealed that the civic agency was taking all necessary measures to promote construction activity in line with the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. At the same time, related rules and bylaws are being simplified to provide ease to the public. In this regard, the approval procedures for private housing schemes are being simplified.
LDA VC Imran further stated that rules were being drafted to ensure timely completion of development projects launched under public-private partnerships.
