Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Muhammad Usman Moazzam on Wednesday shared the authority’s official WhatsApp number for receiving public complaints and suggestions, a news source reported. He requested the citizens to lodge only genuine complaints along with relevant documents as evidence at this number: 03228888283.
He said that the public could register complaints regarding any issue concerning the LDA; including encroachments, road conditions, land grabbing and illegal construction activities to bring the problems in the notice of the DG. As per reports, the Director General would himself interact with the grievants on a daily basis. However, the identity of complainants will be kept confidential.
As per officials, this initiative aim to ensuring transparency in the workings of the LDA. Previously, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had directed the concerned people from within the authority to take steps to ensure transparency in the working of the civic agency. For this purpose, the LDA recently launched an application for the registration of complaints. A hotline and web portal were also launched to bring the authority up-to-par with the modern age, along with the digitisation of data of plots.

I am the resident of Block-1, Sector D-2, Green Town Lahore. In block-1 so many houses built “Tharras” more than 4 feet and also park their vehicles in ahead of tharas, they occupied 60 percent of Steet that is the passing area for public, we, the residents of block 1 are in trouble and facing problems. In case of hospital emergency the Embulance cannot reach to its point to pic the patients.
