Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently shared statistics regarding the number of building plan approvals granted during the month of May — with 228 out of the total 373 approval requests having been processed at the authority’s one-window cell facility, a news source reported. The quick approvals came on the back of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s vision to promote the construction sector and improve ease of doing business in the country.
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of his plans, the LDA had updated its bylaws in order to allow for layout approvals within 30 days. As per the new bylaws, 228 out of 373 maps have already been approved, while the remaining maps will be approved as per their individual timelines.
According to the LDA Governing Body’s decision, the authority has made proper arrangements for the provision of approvals at its one-window cell. Now, citizens can first get an appointment from the LDA website in order to ensure that the new cell operates smoothly in the future.
