Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has shared the approved building plans’ statistics – during the past 3 months – under its new initiative to boost the activity in the construction sector, a news source reported on October 14.

According to the details, during the past 3 months, 1,089 applications for newly constructed residential buildings were submitted to the LDA’s new khidmat centres – out of which 692 had been approved, 382 are under process, while 15 applications have been returned due to incomplete documents.
Meanwhile, 19 commercial buildings applications were submitted for approvals; five of which have been approved. A total of 240 applications were submitted for completion certificates and 32 of these have been approved by the development authority. However, 159 are still undergoing the approval process.

LDA Director General (DG) Ahmad Aziz Tarar has also issued instructions to the relevant officials to take all the possible steps needed to boost the construction activities in the city – as per the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.
