Lahore: The Punjab Government has issued directives for all development authorities to digitise their records, taking inspiration from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), as disclosed in an article published on January 12.

According to the details, during a meeting at the civil secretariat to evaluate the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) project, a significant initiative focusing on e-registry and land record digitisation, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman emphasised the integration of development authorities in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Gujranwala into the PULSE project.
In light of the discontinuation of manual registry processes across the province since January 1, the Chief Secretary underscored the mandatory use of the e-registration system for land transfers. He called for the establishment of e-registration centres in all districts to streamline the e-registry process and consolidate services related to the Board of Revenue under a unified platform.

The meeting disclosed plans for setting up e-registration centres in all divisional headquarters. Divisional commissioners were tasked with identifying suitable locations for these centres, prioritising convenience for the public.
