Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sought the help of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in several issues related to LDA Avenue-I and five other housing societies – a news source reported.
LDA Director General (DG) Usman Moazzam briefed NAB Lahore’s DG Shahzad Saleem on the reasons for the delay in the LDA Avenue-I project on Thursday. The briefing was also attended by representatives of the five housing societies located within LDA Avenue-I.

LDA DG also that LDA Avenue-I is offering plots for balloting to all stakeholders over the 30 per cent ratio defined in the law.
The two officials met to address the issues and reservations being raised by the stakeholders, and to draw a plan to resolve them.
As a result of the meeting, the DG NAB issued directives for various housing societies to work on the resolution of their issues with LDA.
He also said that a complete balloting plan should be handed over to all housing societies concerned. He stated that the law must be allowed to run its course, and that the LDA was responsible for keeping NAB informed about any decision taken regarding the LDA Avenue-I project.
