Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday sealed several properties in Johar Town over the non-payment of commercialisation fee, a news source reported. According to the details revealed, the civic body sealed around 40 properties in the area during its drive to recover the due annual and permanent commercialisation charges.

An LDA spokesperson stated that the staff of the Town Planning Wing Zone-IV sealed 40 properties in Johar Town during the drive. The team sealed the properties of individuals who had defaulted on the payment of their due annual and permanent commercialisation charges to the LDA, he added. As per details, the enforcement and police squad accompanied the Planning Wing team to conduct the operation.

The properties sealed included those in blocks A, A-II, A-III, B, B-I, B-II, C, and R-I of the locality. Earlier, LDA had also conducted a drive against illegal construction from Jallo Mor to The Mall. The officials concerned had demolished illegal structures on Canal Road over not having an approved map.
