Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday sealed several properties for non-payment of commercialisation fees and illegal commercial use, as reported on September 20.

As per details, the Town Planning Wing carried out operations in key areas, including Bypass Road, Johar Town, Garden Town, and Gulberg. In Johar Town, the LDA’s Town Planning Zone-4 sealed 14 properties due to unpaid commercialisation fees, while Town Planning Zone-3 sealed 10 properties in Garden Town and Gulberg for similar violations. The targeted establishments include showrooms, private schools, grocery stores, restaurants, private offices, and other shops.

These properties had previously been issued multiple notices to clear their outstanding dues. The sealing operations were conducted under the supervision of Town Planning Zone-4’s Operations Director and Town Planning Zone-3’s Director. The LDA’s action aims to ensure compliance with commercialisation laws and address illegal commercial activity across the city.
