Lahore: The Chief Minister of Punjab has granted preliminary approval to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) for a 6 billion PKR project aimed at transforming Gulberg and five other housing schemes into sustainable smart city models. The news was published in an article by an agency on October 15.

As per details, this initiative comes at a crucial time as Lahore faces increasing population density and worsening air pollution, necessitating urgent action for a more livable environment. The comprehensive plan seeks to tackle pressing issues of air, environmental, noise, and water pollution while integrating smart city concepts into the LDA’s housing schemes, including Harbanspura, Allama Iqbal Town, Sabzazar, Gulberg, MM Alam Road, and LDA Avenue.
